Simple techniques for balancing your energy channels

Once you have got some confidence with your energetic system, you will be able to manage all the case you will meet. Sahaja Yoga techniques are very simple and natural, as they use all the natural elements: water, fire, earth, air, ether.
We have already seen a technique that makes use of the water and earth elements: foot-soak.
In the next treatments, we will make use of earth and air elements.

Before starting, find a quiet place in your house or in your garden (if you have it), where you can meditate without being disturb. It is not important how long you meditate, the important is that the time you give to meditation is completely dedicated to that — I mean: silence your mobile, the TV or whatever can disturb you; if you have children and they want, they can join you in your meditation. Find a comfortable position, but keep your back straight without being rigid.
Then raise your Kundalini (click here to see How to raise your Kundalini and give yourself a bandhan). Put your hands on your lap with the palms upwards. Keep silent for a moment. If thoughts arrive, just say “Not this, not this!” to them, or in Sanskrit “Neti, Neti”.

After a while, put attention on your hands: what do you feel?
Your perception can be very different depending on the moment. If you are agitated or angry, you might feel your right hand warmer.
If you feel a cool breeze coming out of your hands, this means your energetic channels are in balance. At that point, you need to do nothing, just enjoy the meditation in thoughtless awareness: your Kundalini will take care of your chakras.
If you feel a warm breeze coming our of your hands, or only one hand or part of it, then this means that your Kundalini has passed, but that her energetic work has produced heat. At this point, you can facilitate her work by balancing you energetic channels.

You can distinguish three different cases: heat or heaviness on your right hand, heat or heaviness on your left hand, heat or heaviness on your both your hands. Depending on the case, follow one of the next treatments:

  • Heat or heaviness on your left hand: put your right hand on the earth, palm on the ground (or finger tips towards the earth if you are sitting on a chair), and leave the left hand on your lap. Keep the position for a while. The effect of this technique is to allow the left hand to absorb the energy (vibrations), while the heat/heaviness is released towards the earth.
  • Heat or heaviness on your right hand: put your left hand close the left shoulder, palm towards the back and finger tips towards the sky; leave the right hand on the lap- Keep the position for a while. The effect of this technique is that the heat/heaviness of the right energetic channel goes towards the sky, while the right hand absorb the energy.
  • Heat or heaviness on both of your hands: put both on your hands on the ground, palms on the ground (or finger tips towards the earth if you are sitting on a chair). Keep the position for a while.

After few minutes, put your hands back on the lap. Check again the state of your channels on your hands: if they are cool, you do not need to do anything else; if they are still warn or heavy, repeat the treatment.

Put the right hand on the ground, palm on the ground, left hand on your lap. Put both your hands on the ground, palms on the ground. Put your left hand towards the sky, palm towards the back, right hand on your lap.
